Zooey Deschanel Reprises World Series National Anthem Gig

Oh, say Zooey can you sing!

New Girl star Zooey Deschanel lent her vocal chops to perform a concert at Game 3 of the 2012 World Series between the San Francisco Giants and the Detroit Tigers, singing the national anthem.

The funny girl donned a nude dress with a red belt and bold red shoes, accessorizing patriotically and tastefully. Zooey showed no nerves, and why should she? This wasn’t her first big ball game as the actress also sang “The Star-Spangled Banner” at last year’s series.

But which team was Zooey rooting for?

More of a diplomat than a true fan, the star tweeted prior to the game: “I am rooting for BOTH teams!!! Go #Tigers! Go #Giants! Can’t wait for the game!”

X-Factor judge Demi Lovato is set to take a shot at the anthem next at tomorrow’s game.
